BOX MARKET
The main task was to create an open public space with a market square and a hotel. A shipping container was the main idea inspiration for the work. The market consists of a large number of sections and blocks.
To make the object holistic and unified, we decided to unite it in one color. In order to simplify the orientation for visitors, we created traffic schemes. Before designing the market, we studied the history of the area. The typology of past land development is a hillfort.
Its layout was used to build an amphitheater in the public space. Its layout was used to form the market structure. We identified six functional zones: a park, a public space, a hotel, cottages, a factory and a market. The unique element of the space is a blue line. It visually connects the space and shows the direction of pedestrian traffic.
Our goal was to create a space where different people would feel comfortable.
Guests of the city will be able to settle in a stylish hotel. The container market with cafes and restaurants will be a favorite place for meetings and dinners. The alley with a parametric bench table will appeal to everyone who likes to walk and eat outside.
Foodies will enjoy their time in the brewery, cheese dairy and the restaurant. In the outdoor amphitheater, guests can enjoy public events, concerts and entertainments.
BOXMARKET will provide an unforgettable experience in all sectors: gastronomy, real estate, design and technology. The unusually shaped windows and the moss that covers the containers allow the structures to blend into the background.
The translucent facades seamlessly connect the interior with the exterior, creating an open-market feel.
